The tourism sector will receive the pricing rules of territories under the jurisdiction of the Tourism Development Authority in the North Coast, says Minister of Tourism Hisham Zaazou

The North Coast territories have the most prominent investment opportunities that the government intends to present to investors in the coming period, the minister added.

The authority had signed investment agreements worth EGP 12bn with Saudi and UAE investors to establish tourism projects in the region.

According to the minister, the North Coast territories suffer from interference problems with other parties. However, the ministry is working to solve this problem with the Matruh governorate to ensure that tourism development will also include development of the local community.

Zaazou said that he hopes that the numbers will reach to 10 million tourists by the end of the year. The ministry has a short-term plan during the remaining three months of the year in order to achieve the target, he said.

A promotional campaign entitled “This is Egypt” will be launched in early November in the UK market, according to Minister of Tourism.

Zaazou said the Ministry of Tourism will provide incentives for air charter in areas that suffer from a decline in tourism, especially Luxor and Aswan.
