At a time when people would check their Facebook first before the television for any updates and latest news, bloggers can find their way to fame. Statuses and tweets are being turned into news people write about, and digital media portals have become one of the most essential sources of news in the world of media.
The Digital Media Forum (DMF) is being held for the second consecutive year on 15-16 November. The forum will discuss the evolution of digital technology as well as its impact on the media in Egypt and the Arab world.
The DMF is an annual event on a regional scale, bringing together information technology and digital media experts, and decision makers to discuss the challenges and opportunities in this industry.
This year’s main theme is Digital Trends and Technologies: Bringing the Future Closer.
“The digital technology industry in Egypt is ready to expand strongly in the upcoming period and lead the digital media industry in the region,” DMF founder Najla Semaan Mazboudi said. “The massive development of this industry will continue to increase with a positive impact on the community, extending from the virtual world to many areas in reality”.
“This year, the forum will extend to provide greater opportunities to exchange the latest knowledge and expertise on digital media’s rapid developments,” she said. “International speakers from all over the world will participate to present case studies to predict future developments in digital media and its impact.”
