The main stock exchange index, EGX-30, increased by 1.23% at the end of Thursday’s trading session, to close at 7451.7 points, while index EGX-50 rose by 1.66% to close at 1272.4 points.
EGX-70 increased by 1.54%, closing at 397.33 points, and the broader EGX-100 index rose by 1% to close at 852.5 points.
Trading in the stock market achieved EGP 540.23m during the trading of 274.9m shares in 19,700 sale and purchase processes of 164 companies.
Meanwhile, the prices of 30 shares did not change, to settle market capitalisation of listed shares at a level of EGP 452.3bn with market gains of EGP 3.6bn.
The net Egyptian investors trading to sell reached EGP 32m and foreign investors trading reached EGP 29m, by acquisitions amounting to 76.2% and 12% of the stock’s trading, while the net of Arabs trading to purchasing registered EGP 61m, by the acquisition rate of 11.8% of the market. Individuals carried out 70.4% of the trades heading towards sale, amounting to EGP 104.4m.
