Russian Aviation agency Rosaviatsiya banned all flights coming from Egypt through the EgyptAir Company Friday.

The agency notified Domodedovo airport, which most EgyptAir flights land in.

Minister of Civil Aviation Hossam Kamal said in a Friday ministry statement that EgyptAir and the Egyptian aviation authorities received official requests to ban flights from the Russian agency, but not yet from the Russian government.

The ban should start 14 November. The minister added that negotiations are still ongoing between the two sides.
