Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair said he supports both Egyptian President Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi and the Egyptian people, stressing that Egypt is doing better after ousting the Muslim Brotherhood.

During the launching ceremony of Al-Ghad Al-Arabi TV in Cairo, Blair said: “Egypt is still facing problems from the Brotherhood era, and we stand together to defeat IS and fight its ideology.”

Blair also added that this ideology came out of the Middle East, and must end in it, as terrorist attacks are taking place daily in Syria, Libya and Yemen because of this ideology.

The former prime minister also stressed on youth education, saying that “successful countries are those who have a vision toward education”.

He also condemned the Paris attacks that killed 129 people on Friday, noting that the problem of terrorism is complicated and deep-rooted due to the accumulation of mistaken policies, and misuse of religion throughout the years.
