Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met with the South Korean KOICA agency for development on Monday.
They discussed over 20 projects being implemented by the agency in Egypt in the sectors of electricity, communication and vocational training. Shoukry called for mutual cooperation that is convenient for Egypt’s development plans.
Shoukry highlighted the close relations between the two countries. He thanked the agency for completing a project that automated the control system of the North Cairo distribution networks with a grant of $2.6m.
Shoukry also discussed a project pertaining to an Egyptian-Korean College of Technology in Beni Suef within the development of the Upper Egypt region. The two countries have already signed an agreement last July in order to conduct a feasibility study for an integrated technological complex in Amiriya.
