The banks seeks to increase its geographical spread and to develop and improve branches inside and outside Egypt by providing the latest technologies and a variety of banking products to meet all clients’ needs, according to Chairman Eletreby and Vice Chairman Abu El-Ezz.
The branch’s launching was attended by the Commercial Attaché at the Embassy of Egypt in Abu Dhabi Essam Bouriqaa and a number of public figures and prominent clients. The attendees were hosted by Banque Misr’s acting regional manager in the UAE Alaa Kotby.
Banque Misr’s senior management team has exerted major efforts in previous few years to restructure the financial position of the bank’s branches in the UAE. The restructure is being conducted by doubling the paid-up capital and granting a supporting loan to support the capital base. In addition, the bank will administratively restructure the branches, improve the various work activities, and develop IT infrastructure and communications.
Those efforts supported the branches, allowing them to offer a comprehensive package of various banking products and services, and to become regional centres for Banque Misr’s activities in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
Banque Misr’s branches in the UAE offer new products to cope with the Emirati market and is preparing to launch other projects.
The new UAE headquarters is located on the main street of Al-Ain city, alongside all other major banks and companies.
The branch was provided with all necessary equipment, preparations, and systems to ensure the provision of a new working environment for employees and a high level of service for customers, according to the bank’s statement.
The location of the new branch in Al-Ain is considered a new step in the strategy adopted by Banque Misr to renew its branches in the UAE, to make its services and modern banking products available to all customers in all markets, as well as residential and commercial groupings.
Banque Misr is widely spread in Egypt to provide different and distinctive banking services to citizens. It is also available in the UAE, Lebanon, France, and Germany. It also has a network of correspondents worldwide.
