A delayed EgyptAir shipment caused a crisis at the Chemex exhibition in Kenya, as the materials and materials of 19 Egyptian companies did not arrive in Kenya until Sunday morning, the opening day of the exhibition.

The participating companies had arranged for business meetings and interviews with their Kenyan counterparts, in which they were supposed to present samples and catalogues. However, this was not possible as they had not arrived.

According to Khaled Abdu, head of the Chamber of Printing and Packaging Industries, one of these companies had intended to finalise a deal worth nearly EGP 6m, and it could not do so because their products had not arrived to Kenya.

The trade office in Nairobi officially addressed the company, demanding that it remedy the situation. However the company has not responded. This may result in a loss of almost $100m today, according to exhibitors.

The Chamber of Printing and Packaging Industries intends to sue EgyptAir for compensation of $5m immediately after their return to Egypt. A complaint has also been submitted at the embassy, because of the losses suffered by its members.
