The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) employed the international telecommunication company Cisco to build its newest generation of secured data centres, which will provide customers with unlimited services and full security through Cisco’s modern NEXUS Switches.

This agreement between NBE and Cisco is in line with their ongoing cooperation in the field of communications and information technology, which began with the emergence of the internet protocol in 1998.

The cooperation contributed to increasing the bank’s offered modern banking services to customers and absorb all banking products, which relies on communications and information technology to complete security for the infrastructure.

Through the cooperation, the bank is committed to shifting towards the new generation of banking technology in Egypt and the Middle East.

According to NBE board member Yehya Abou El-Fotouh, the bank management has a broad vision and a well-established strategy to enable information technology to offer banking services at the highest quality.

NBE selected Cisco due to its extensive experience and work, to match the bank’s high standards, he said.

General Manager of Cisco Egypt Ayman El-Gohary said the cooperation with the NBE is an important indicator for the company. Cisco will be able to help NBE achieve its targets and provide new secured banking products and services.
