The Japanese personal car market in Egypt achieved sales estimated at around EGP 10.4bn during the first 11 months of 2015.
This number was registered out of the total of personal car market sales in Egypt in the same period, which amounted to about EGP 30.6bn, accounting for 34% of the market value.
Japanese cars sold 50,400 from total market sales of about 179,000 cars, acquiring 33.8% of the market. The Nissan New Sunny topped the bestseller list, recording sales of EGP 1.5bn with 13,100 cars sold.
The Mitsubishi Lancer recorded sales estimated at EGP 1.11bn during the same period, acquiring second place, with 7,247 cars sold. Meanwhile Toyota Corolla ranked third at EGP 1.2bn in sales, with 6,065 cars sold.
