E-finance, the electronic payment and collection gateway, signed a cooperation protocol with University of Alexandria hospitals to develop electronic services and payment methods for outpatient clinics.
The agreement enables patients to pay fees electronically using mobile phones and electronic payment cards, including Visa and MasterCard, through electronic channels offered by the payment centre run by E-finance.
Under the agreement bookings at outpatient clinics will be provided through phone calls.
The hospital will be equipped with 12 LCD screens in waiting areas to enable patients to keep track of patient lists. The company is also designing and developing custom and technician support programmes for the electronic payment system.
Hospitals of the University of Alexandria serve four governorates: Alexandria, Beheira, Kafr El-Sheikh, and Marsa Matrouh. The hospital serves an average of 100,000 patients per month.
This partnership with E-finance comes under the University of Alexandria’s attempt to automate several of their services, an endeavour undertaken with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
