Doctors’ Syndicate refer the Minister of Health Ahmed Emad El-Din to the disciplinary committee and calls for his dismissal, as they accuse him of not being able to defend their rights.
Thousands have joined the doctors syndicate general assembly on Friday in a “historic” turnout to vote on decision against attack on doctors.
The assembly, held at the syndicate headquarters in downtown, was scheduled after a group of officers assaulted two doctors working at Al-Matariya hospital. About 4,000 doctors across Egypt attended the assembly to vote on a general strike.
Their stand against attacks on medical staff garnered solidarity from other syndicates, public figures, and doctors. According to an official statement by the syndicate on Friday, the assembly received “massive gathering” of other syndicates members, and parliamentary members.
