Decline dominates trading on MSCI last week

The MSCI emerging market index opened at 739.61 last week only to decline to 711.24 by the week’s last trading day.

The market declined on the first and second trading days before picking up on Wednesday. It fell again during Thursday and Friday.

Two weeks ago, the index closed at 739.61, a 7.7% increase compared to 741.04 the day before and to the 52-week low of 686.74 recorded on 21 January.

The market surged on the first trading day of the week in the week of 31 January then dropped on the second and third day, only to pick up on the fourth day.
