The 2016 German Junior Squash Open, which started on 4 March in Hamburg, Germany concluded its events on 6 March.
In the under 13 years boys’ division, Egyptian champion Seif El-Din Shams won in first place, while Dutch Sebastiaan Hofman and Karim Farrag, playing for the Czech Republic, ended in second and third place, respectively.
Shams won the gold medal after winning against Hofman in the final match with the result of 3-0.
Shams also won the 2016 Austrian Junior Squash Open, which recently concluded its events in Austria. Shams won over Malta’s squash champion Kijan Sultana, who ended in second place.
The Maltese champion reached the final match, due to his win over Farrag, in one of the semi-final matches, with the result of 8-11, 11-8, 11-5, and 11-6.
