Egyptian archery champion Hala El-Gibily guaranteed herself a seat at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, after winning the women’s individual compound competition at the 2016 African Archery Championships held in Windhoek, Namibia.

Egyptian archery champion Hala El-Gibily guaranteed herself a seat at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, after winning the women’s individual compound competition at the 2016 African Archery Championships held in Windhoek, Namibia.

Also in the women’s individual compound competition, Egyptian Nancy El-Gibily won the bronze medal, while the gold medal went to Namibian Beanta Viviers.

As for the men’s individual compound competition, Nambian Francois Mararis won gold, while silver and bronze medals went for South Africa’s Riaan Crowther and Patrick Roux, respectively.

The Egyptian national women’s archery team surprised the audience after winning the compound women’s team competition, where the South African and Namibian teams came in second and third place, respectively.

The Egyptian national men’s archery team won bronze in the compound team competition, while the South African and Namibian teams won the gold and silver medals, respectively.

In the compound mixed team competitions, South Africa, Egypt, and Namibia, won gold, silver, and bronze, respectively.
