Egyptian Mohamed El-Shorbagy seized the title in the 2016 Allam British Open Squash Championship final after defeating his compatriot Ramy Ashour with scores of 11-25, 11-5, 11-9 and a final score of 3-0.
This is the second consecutive win for El-Shorbagy in the Allam British Open Squash Championship. Ashour, on the other hand, was the winner of the championship in 2013. He came in second place twice, in 2012 and this year.
As for the women’s division, the championship title went to Egyptian Nour El-Sherbini after defeating her compatriot Nouran Gohar with scores of 11-7, 9-11, 7-11, 11-6, 11-8, and the final score of 3-2.
This is the first time for an Egyptian female squash championship to win in the Allam British Open.
