The inauguration of the Dubai branch and the new regional headquarters for Banque Misr is a new step in maximising Banque Misr’s regional presence in the UAE and enhancing its geographic expansion. The bank currently has more than 500 branches in the Arab Republic of Egypt and 17 branches in Lebanon in addition to its presence in Frankfurt and Paris.
Banque Misr began its efforts to strengthen its position in the UAE through restructuring the financial position of the bank’s branches by: doubling the paid-up capital, granting a supporting loan to support the capital base, administrative restructuring, development of various business activities, as well as the structure of information technology and communications of those branches.
Chairman of Banque Misr Mohamed El Atriby inaugurated the Dubai branch and the new regional headquarters for Banque Misr’s branches in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The inauguration was in the presence of the executive director of the Dubai branch of the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Omar Al Qazi, and Vice Egyptian Consul General in Dubai Abdelrahman Refaat.
Among the attendees was also Vice Chairman of Banque Misr Ahmed Abul Ezz and the general manager of finance at the bank, Effat Ishak . The inauguration was also attended by reporters and acting regional director Alaa Kutby, and a number of the UAE’s public figures.
Banque Misr aims for the headquarters and the new branch to be a link that would contribute in providing a unique service in the UAE market.
