United States Congressional delegation arrives to Egypt for meetings between Saturday and Sunday, the US embassy announced.

The delegation members, led by Senator Lindsey Graham, plan to meet with President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and Minister of Defence Sedky Sobhy to discuss mutual interests in fields of security, stability, and the fight against terrorism.

Moreover, the delegation is also visiting projects implemented by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), which are designed to protect Egypt’s cultural heritage and support its economic development.

This comes few days after a meeting between Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and US counterpart John Kerry in Washington where they discussed a range of regional and bilateral issues, including Libya, Syria, and Yemen, according to Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ahmed Abu Zeid.
