King of Saudi Arabia Salman Abdel Aziz arrived in Cairo on Thursday noon in his first official visit to Egypt. The visit followed an invitation by president Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi
Presidency spokesperson Alaa Youssef said in an official statement that Salman will hold bilateral talks with Al-Sisi, followed by signing a number of agreements. King Salman’s visit will also include meetings with other Egyptian officials and the members of the Saudi-Egyptian Coordination Council.
The bilateral talks will mostly focus on regional issues of common concern and threats facing the Gulf and Arab region as a whole, according to Youssef.
“The two leaders are set to discuss at length economic cooperation as well, given the keenness of both countries on promoting economic and trade ties,” he added.
