Nissan’s New Sunny sits atop Japanese auto industry in Egypt

Nissan’s New Sunny model sat atop the Japanese auto industry in the Egyptian car market in January and February.

Nissan sold1,680 New Sunny models at an estimated value of EGP 199.9m.

Mitsubishi sold 1,053 Lancer EX models at a value of EGP 168m, to place second in sales. Nissan sold 966 Sentra models at a value of EGP 144.9m, placing third in sales.

Subaru sold 472 XV models at a value of EGP 118m, while Nissan sold 335 Qashqai models at a value of EGP 82m.

In January Nissan sold 774 New Sunny models at an estimated value of about EGP 92.1m.

Nissan sold 463 Sentra models worth EGP 69m, while Mitsubishi sold 434 Lancer EX models at a value of EGP 67m, dropping out of the second spot in sales for the first time in over a year.

Subaru sold 250 XV models at a value of EGP 60m, finishing fourth in sales. Nissan sold 121 Sunny models at a value of EGP13.4m.
