Hyundai Verna remains at the forefront of the Korean car market in Egypt, as Egyptian automotive deals sold 2,415 models valued at EGP 220m in January and February 2016.
With1,456 cars sold at EGP 377m, the Hyundai Tucson was the second most sold Korean model.
The Hyundai Creta ranked third, with 330 models sold at a value of EGP 63m, while the Hyundai Solaris ranked fourth with 317 models sold at EGP 44.8m. The Kia Picanto came in fifth place with 300 models sold at a value of EGP 33.5m.
In January, Egyptian auto dealers sold 1,184 Hyundai Verna models at a value of EGP 106m.
The Kia Picanto model rose to second place in January, after being in seventh place among Korean brands throughout 2015. Auto dealers sold 240 Picanto models during January, at a value of EGP 26.8m.
The Hyundai Accent RB ranked third with 186 models sold at a value of EGP 26m in January. The Hyundai Tucson ranked fourth with165 models sold at a value of EGP 42m. The Hyundai Solaris ranked fifth 153 models sold at EGP 21m.
