The Eitesal association has launched the “eConsult” consultation programme to support the growth of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the sector of information technology and communications (ITC), in cooperation with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA).

The goal of the programme is to increase the efficiency of member companies in order to face the present challenges, said Eitesal chairperson Hazem El Tahawy. The programme provides consultancy services for companies working in the field of information technology, communications, and electronics, whether these companies are start-ups, micro, small, or medium. The programme also includes large companies.

The programme also provides administrative consultancy services, including marketing, selling, legal consulting, and human resources, by contracting with a wide network of specialised consulting firms.

According to the Gartner Research Corporation, spending on software reached $410m in 2015, an 8.3% increase compared to 2014.

As a result of increased spending on IT services and software packages, the Egyptian ITC market is expected to grow by 9% annually from $8.95bn in 2016 to reach $10.32bn by 2019.
