The Malaysian brand Proton sold 120 cars, valued at EGP 15.5m, during the first quarter of this year, after it reduced the price tag on its Gen 2 and Persona models.
Proton sold 77 units of Gen 2 valued at EGP 9.9m and 43 units of Persona at EGP 5.5m.
The carmaker dropped the price of both models by EGP 6,000 earlier this month.
The price of both models was increased in February and March. In January, Proton failed to sell any of its cars on the local market.
