Opel Astra maintained its top spot on the European car market for sales between January and April, by selling 1,431 vehicles with a total value of EGP 343.4m.
KIA Sportage, considered a European car because it is manufactured in Kia’s factories in Slovakia, came in second place, recording sales of 1,076 vehicles worth EGP 263m from January to April. Peugeot 301 ranked third and recorded sales of 765 vehicles worth EGP 107m.
Opel Insignia ranked fourth, achieving sales of 642 units worth EGP 224m, while Skoda Octavia ranked fifth, recording sales of 626 vehicles worth EGP118.8m.
Opel Astra topped the European car market sales during the first quarter of 2016, achieving sales of 1,122 vehicles worth approximately EGP 252m.
KIA Sportage ranked second, recording sales of 245 vehicles during the first quarter of 2016 worth EGP 166m, followed by Peugeot 301 ranking third, recording sales of 658 vehicles worth EGP 85m.
Skoda Octavia ranked fourth with 529 vehicles sold worth EGP 100m, while Opel Insignia ranked fifth, achieving sales of 474 vehicles worth EGP 156m.
