Intel cooperates with TIEC to sponsor ‘Internet of Things’ projects

Intel Corporation reported that its full-year revenue in 2015 totaled $55.4bn, recording net profit of $11.4bn compared to $55.9bn in revenues during 2014, marking a 1% decrease. For the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2015, Intel recorded $14.9bn in revenues and $3.6bn in net profit.

Engineer Sameh El-Mallah, executive director of Intel Egypt, said that his company has agreed on a partnership with the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC) to supervise Egypt’s tournament for the Internet of Things and provide entrepreneurs, fresh graduates, and university students with the required resources and experiences to implement their creative ideas.

El-Mallah noted that the company plans to train around 500 young people for seven to eight months in an educational camp.

He added that the goal is to offer financial and technical support to five projects that will be selected during the final stage of the tournament and help market them to investors in order to turn them into real service projects.
