Chevrolet acquires top 5 sales rankings of US-made cars in Egypt

Chevrolet kept its lead on the sales of cars manufactured in the US in Egypt, seizing the top five spots on the list over the course of the first five months of this year. Cruze was the top selling US-made car in Egypt, selling 1,675 units worth EGP 316.5m.

New Optra came in second, having sold 1,305 units in the same period. Those sales were valued at EGP 186.6m. Lanos was ranked third on the list with sales amounting to 1,089 units worth EGP 107.2m.

GP52 came fourth with sales of 801 cars worth EGP 109m, followed by Aveo with sales of 635 units valued at EGP 77.3m.

Chevrolet kept the top four of the top five rankings for all US-made cars sold in Egypt over four months, with New Optra in the lead during that period, selling 1,235 units worth EGP 176.6m.

Cruze had sold 1,218 units worth EGP 225.3m in that period, with Lanos on its tail in third place with 702 units sold at EGP 65.6m.

Chevrolet’s Aveo came in fourth place during that period, with sales of 624 cars worth EGP 72m, followed by Jeep Renegade with 432 units valued at EGP 123m.
