The evaluation depended on the potential prevalence of the companies globally and regionally. It also considered the type of investors “professional capital investment companies,” and the volume of investment.
CEO of Vezeeta Amir Barsoum said that his company seeks to strengthen its presence regionally and locally. The company also aims to transfer its expertise and successful experiences to others in using new electronic tools found on smartphones and tablets to meet the needs of a large segment of internet users.
The total investments obtained by Vezeeta amounted to $4m provided by regional investors. Meanwhile, the total investments obtained by the 20 most promising Egyptian startups, selected by Forbes, reached $24.2m.
