New Sunny tops sales of Japanese models with EGP 997.3m

Nissan’s New Sunny model registered sales of EGP 997.3m in the period between January and July, making it the bestselling model in the Japanese auto industry in the Egyptian car market.

Mitsubishi sold 4,361 Lancer EX models at a value of EGP 784m, to place second in sales. Nissan sold 2,687 Sentra models at a value of EGP 446m, placing third in sales.

Toyota Corolla ranked fourth, selling 1,916 cars at EGP 450m, followed by Subaru XV in fifth place with 1,583 cars valued at EGP 458m.

Nissan New Sunny has maintained its place atop Japanese models sales, registering 6,636 sold units over the first half of 2016 with value estimated at EGP 822m.

In this period, Mitsubishi Lancer EX came in second place with sales worth EGP 658m, followed by Nissan Sentra with 2,393 units valued at EGP 386m.

Toyota Corolla ranked fourth selling 1,618 cars at EGP 380m, followed by Subaru XV in fifth place with 1,318 cars valued at EGP 382m.
