Kia Sportage took the top spot from Opel Astra in sales of European-origin cars. Though headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, Kia Sportage is manufactured in Slovakia before it is imported to Egypt—therefore it is considered a European brand. The model registered sales of 2,379 units over the course of seven months worth EGP 666m in total.

Opel Astra dropped to second place, registering sales of 2,326 units worth EGP 604m. Opel Insignia took the third spot on the list, recording sales of 1,509 cars valued at EGP 580m, outperforming Peugeot 301, which dropped to fourth place with sales of 1,246 units at EGP 174.4m.

Skoda Octavia followed in fifth with 934 cars sold worth EGP 177.4m.

Opel Astra maintained its position leading sales of European cars in Egypt between January and June, registering sales of 1,996 units worth EGP 495m.

During that period Kia Sportage—manufactured in Slovakia—was ranked second with 1,941 units sold worth EGP 543m, followed by Peugeot 301, which recorded sales of 1,191 cars worth EGP 166m.

Opel Insignia took the fourth spot on the list, recording sales of 1,167 cars valued at EGP 420m. Škoda Octavia followed in fifth with 878 cars worth EGP 166.7m.
