An official at Orange Egypt mobile operator said that the company has filed an official request to the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) to renegotiate the terms for obtaining the 4G services license.
All three mobile operators, Vodafone, Orange, and Etisalat, had earlier refused to move towards obtaining the 4G license, attributing their decision to the limited frequencies on the table, which would impact the quality of service; the high price of the license; and the condition of paying 50% of fees in US dollars.
