Detained former president Mohamed Morsi will hear a new verdict on 22 November in the “Hamas espionage” case according to a decision the Cassation Court issued on Tuesday.
This comes after Cassation prosecution authorities recommended that Morsi’s appeal against his sentence be accepted by the court. According to state-owned media Al-Ahram on Tuesday, Morsi’s defence lawyers argued that he cannot be tried by a criminal court in the case.
