US dollar continues to fall on Monday, recording EGP 15.25-15.32 in official market

The price of the US dollar against the Egyptian pound continued to decline on Monday, recording EGP 15.25-15.32 for buying and EGP 15.75-15.85 for selling at several banks in the Egyptian market.

The US dollar exchange rate against the pound recorded EGP 15.25 for buying and EGP 15.75 for selling at the Commercial International Bank (CIB), while the euro recorded EGP 16.32 for buying and EGP 17.09 for selling, and the British pound recorded EGP 19.04 for buying and EGP 19.87 for selling.

Banque Misr on Monday purchased US dollars for EGP 15.32 and sold them for EGP 15.85, while the euro recorded EGP 16.50 for buying and EGP 17.18 for selling, and the British pound recorded EGP 19.16 for buying and EGP 19.98 for selling.

The US dollar was purchased at EGP 15.3 and sold at EGP 15.8 at the National Bank of Egypt (NBE), while the euro recorded EGP 16.45 for buying and EGP 17.14 for selling, and the British pound recorded EGP 19.11 for buying and EGP 19.92 for selling.

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced the flotation of the pound on 3 November, leaving banks to set their own prices through inter bank mechanisms.
