One of the recent victories marked by Egyptian female squash players was that of Kenzy El-Defrawy, who won the 2016 Amman Squash Open organised by the Jordan Squash Federation.
Incredibly, El-Defrawy reached the final match without losing a game. In the first round she won against Jordan’s Alaa Hadaib, with a score of 3-0 (11-4/11-3/11-4).
Afterwards, in the quarterfinals, she defeated Iran’s Arezoosadat Mousavizadeh, also by 3-0 (11-3/11-7/11-7).
In the semifinals, she won against Hong Kong’s Vanessa Chu, with a score of 3-0 (11-4/19-17/11-3).
El-Defrawy snatched the championship’s title from Hong Kong’s Tong Tsz-Wing, defeating her with a score of 3-1 (11-5/11-5/7-11/11-0).
