Hazem Hegazy, the head of retail banking at the National Bank of Egypt (NBE), said that the bank has decided to raise limits on credit card use abroad starting Wednesday.
The new limit will be a maximum EGP 100,000 a month, depending on the type of credit cards customers own.
Hegazy added that the monthly maximum limit for the classic credit card abroad is EGP 20,000, EGP 50,000 for gold cards, and EGP 100,000 for platinum cards.
Hegazy emphasised that the NBE cares about providing banking services at distinctive levels to meet customers’ needs.
