Schneider Electric—the global specialist in energy management and automation—along with Uptime Institute, the independent advisory organisation, focused on improving the performance, efficiency, and reliability of the critical business infrastructure that underlies global information economy. The two hosted the Global Uptime Institute Leadership Conference 2017 last week.
The leadership conference agenda highlighted the region-specific data centre challenges by bringing together domestic and international subject matter experts to share and discuss the latest best practices. The conference was attended by Schneider Electric’s customers and a group of data centre experts.
Schneider Electric is in the process of having its own customers’ data centres obtain the internationally approved “Uptime Institute” quality certificates.
The accreditation comes in reward of the effective solutions offered by Schneider Electric’s data centres, which happen to support infrastructure across major government agencies and organisations operating in the Egyptian market, in addition to the infrastructure of Schneider Electric’s local partners.
Moniem Al-Fakharany, the ITB vice president of North East Africa, said that information technology has become an indispensable tool for achieving integration in production processes. “We are eager to commemorate Schneider Electric’s data centres, since the Egyptian market is vital for our business and is one of the largest markets with immense potential,” he added.
