The workshop serves as a first introduction to the initiative, focusing on how small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can get engaged in advancing integrity in the Egyptian business environment.
“The Integrity Network Initiative was launched by the Egyptian Junior Business Association (EJB) in cooperation with the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and is funded by Siemens, under the Siemens Integrity Initiative, to form a business-driven collective action network to strengthen integrity standards among SMEs, as well as tackle some of the most pressing corruption challenges affecting business in Egypt,” the statement read.
Among other activities, the initiative advocates policy issues through multi-stakeholder roundtables that lobby the government and provides free capacity buildings for SMEs, such as Senior Management and Ethics and Compliance Manager Trainings.
