The US company Google topped the World’s Most Valuable Brand list in terms of communications and information technology companies for 2017, according to the Brand Finance classification.
The list states that Google’s monetary value increased to $109.4bn in 2017, compared to $88.17bn in 2016.
Apple dropped to the second place, falling from its 2016 number one spot. The company’s monetary value declined to $107.1bn in 2017, compared to $145.9bn in 2016.
Amazon.com came in third with a monetary value of $106.3bn in 2017 compared to $69.6bn in 2016.
AT&T took the fourth place, with a monetary value of $87.01bn in 2017, marking an increase from its $59.9bn in 2016, followed by Microsoft, valued at $76.2bn in 2017 compared to $67.2bn in the last year.
According to the list, Samsung Group ranked sixth among the world’s most valuable brands with a monetary value of $66.2bn in 2017 compared to $58.6bn in 2016, followed by Verizon in seventh place with a monetary value worth $65.8bn in 2017 compared to $ 63.1bn in 2016.
Facebook came in eighth with a monetary value estimated at $61.9bn in 2017 compared to $34bn in 2016.
China Mobile came in ninth place with a monetary value estimated at $46.7bn in 2017 compared to $9.8bn last year, followed by T (Deutsche Telekom) with a monetary value of $36.4bn in 2017, compared to $33.1bn in 2016.
