Egyptian Minister of Foreign affairs Sameh Shoukry went to Rome Saturday to participate in the international conference that will discuss the Libyan crisis. The conference will be held on a ministerial level. Italy and the US called for it to force Libyan parties to establish a national unity government to overcome Libya’s current crisis.

Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry is to participate in the European Union (EU) foreign affairs ministers meeting next Monday in Brussels.

European sources and state-run media outlet EGY News reported that European foreign affairs ministers will hold a separate meeting with Shoukry before the official foreign ministers meeting.

Topics that will be discussed during the meeting will include the relation between Egypt and the EU, Egypt’s political developments and economic reforms, and Egypt’s role in solving the region’s crises.
