The 10 cheapest smart phones in Egypt during 2017

Despite the price hikes of mobile phones during the past period, particularly after the flotation of the pound, companies have begun this month to reduce the prices of their products. Daily News Egypt prepared a list of the 10 cheapest smart phones that consumers can buy in 2017.

Tecno Y2 tops the list, with a price of EGP 825—the phone’s features include a 4-inch screen, a 1.2-GHz processor, 512-MB RAM, and an 8-GB internal memory. Lenovo A1000 occupied the second place, with a price of EGP 929—the phone has a 4-inch screen, a 1.3-GHz processor, 512-MB RAM, and a 4-GB internal memory.

Huawei Y3C occupied the third position, with a price of EGP 955: it sports a 4-inch screen, a processor speed of 1.2 GHz, 512-MB RAM, and a 4-GB internal memory. Meanwhile, the Lumia 540 took the fourth place, with a price of EGP 999. The device runs the Windows Phone operating system and has a 5-inch screen, a quad-core processor with a speed of 1.2 GHz, 1-GB RAM, and an 8-GB internal memory.

HTC U Ultra Sapphire Edition claimed the fifth spot, with a price of EGP 1,000, offering a 5.7-inch screen, a processor speed of 1.6 GHz, 4-GB RAM, and a 64-GB internal memory. Samsung G1 came in sixth, with  a price of EGP 1,099, featuring a 4-inch screen, a processor speed of 1.2 GHz, 1-GB RAM, and an 8-GB internal memory.

Asus Zenphone Go occupied the seventh position, with a price of EGP 1,200—sporting a 5-inch screen, 2-GB RAM, and a 16-GB internal memory—followed by Tecno W3 in eighth place, with a price of EGP 1,300; Lenovo A Plus in ninth place, with a price of EGP1,330; and HTC Desire 526G in the tenth position, available at a price of EGP 1,450.
