The New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) has offered 1,465 distinctive lands in the cities of 6th October, Badr, and 10th of Ramadan in a complementary toss.
The lands are allocated for clients who have applied for the lands in these cities during the period from 3 May 2016 until 2 June 2016, could not obtain the lands through previous public tosses, and have not yet withdrawn their reservation payments either. The same conditions of the public toss, held during the period from 10 November 2016 to 29 November 2016, apply to their reservations.
Minister of Housing Mostafa Madbouly said that the aim of the ministry is to meet the demands of citizens in terms of owning lands in new cities, noting that offering lands using the toss system helps achieve the development goals of the ministry, as well as contributes to increasing urban growth and decrease the prevalence of slums.
In terms of the reservation system, Tarek El Sebaay, vice chairperson of the NUCA for commercial and real estate affairs, said that reservations are carried out in the branches of the Housing and Development Bank (HDB), where the payment of the reservation amount is made in order to obtain the application form starting from 26 March 2017. The desired lands are then stated on the form with the applicants’ National IDs and a copy of the receipt of their previously paid reservation amount. The applications then are submitted in the same branch during the period from 26 March 2017 until 6 April 2017, during the official work days from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
El Sebaay added that clients who have already applied for lands in Badr City are allowed to replace their reservations for lands in 10th of Ramadan City. He explained that all the data about the areas, spaces, and numbers of lands are all available on the same application form.
In terms of the allocations system, El Sebaay said that a manual public toss will be held for customers who applied to reserve lands during the specified period, where the toss for applicants of lands in 6 October and 10th of Ramadan cities will be held first.
Afterwards, a toss is held for those who want to modify their applications and replace Badr City with 10th of Ramadan City lands in order to determine winners and allocate lands for them through the toss according to the number of available lands and applicants. The place and time of the toss will be announced later.
The down payment will be returned to those who were not chosen after announcing the result of the public toss. It is prohibited to deal with any bodies outside of the bank’s branches.
