Minister of Military Production Mohamed Al-Assar and his accompanying delegation held a meeting in Belarus on Monday with the Belarusian minister of industry Vitaly Vovk and representatives of 20 Belarusian companies to discuss aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries.
Al-Assar began his visit to Belarus on Sunday, accompanied by representatives from the ministries of irrigation, communications, investment and international cooperation, and industry and trade , as well as from public sector companies, and the Arab Organization for Industrialization, in order to support the relations between the two countries in various manufacturing fields.
During the visit, the Egyptian delegation held several meetings with representatives from a number of Belarusian companies operating in several fields, such as manufacturing of agricultural tractors, sewage, waste recycling and processing, steel, tires, radiation measure equipment, production of water pumps, and water and oil well digging tools. The meetings aimed at establishing joint projects in these fields in Egypt.
Al-Assar also met with the Belarusian minister of natural resources and environmental protection country, Kovkhuto Andrei.
According to Al-Assar, the visit proves the deep Egyptian-Belarusian relations and cooperation in various fields, following the January meeting between Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko and President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi in Egypt.
The National Organization for Military Production signed a protocol with the Belarusian MAZ Company and its dealership in Egypt earlier this year.
