Abdul Aal heads to Morocco for 24th Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union conference

Parliament Speaker Ali Abdul Aal headed on Sunday to Morocco to attend the 24th conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, according to state-run media outlet EGY News.

The conference addresses the promotion of joint Arab action and coordination between the Arab countries’ parliaments, and will discuss reports on the union’s work.

There will be listening sessions for reports of the secretary general about the union’s situation and its activities since the last conference.

It also scheduled that the attendees will discuss approval of the previous two conferences’ reports, as well as electing a new leader for the union and putting in place a new working plan.

The Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union is a regional Arab organization that deals with Arab issues and global issues as well. It is following all developments on the Arab and global levels, and expresses the opinion of the Arab parliament’s regarding it.

Last month, Abdul Aal headed to Italy to participate in the annual session of the Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly (EMPA), which aimed at discussing the EMPA affairs.
