Eitesal Business Nurturing Initiative (EBNI) Incubation is a subsidiary of EiTESAL NGO, the Egyptian Information, telecommunication, electronics, and software alliance. Believing in the role EiTESAL is playing in the ICT industry, EBNI was initiated to support entrepreneurs who wish to launch their own start-ups and have to cope with the obstacles of entering the market. EBNI is the first incubation specialised hardware based on IoT (Internet of Things) in the Middle East.

Two start-ups have graduated from EBNI in 2016, and 13 new start-ups will be incubated in 2017.

One of these start-ups is “VoxEra,” which aims to solve the issue of the roaming fees issue. VoxEra is a device that lets travellers use their own local SIM card worldwide without any roaming fees.

“I was surprised to find out in the ‘Juniper’ research that mobile operators generated $57bn in 2013. The amount is expected to increase to $90bn by 2018. This certainly encouraged me to pursue the idea of VoxEra,” said Amr El Gebaly, founder of VoxEra.
