Union National Bank (UNB) Egypt signed a cooperation protocol with Dar El Maaref to raise the awareness of financial inclusion in general and among youth in particular.

This cooperation includes several initiatives aimed at upgrading youth knowledge of financial inclusion and its importance to individuals and institutions, as well as its role in achieving economic growth and stability.

According to the bank, among these initiatives is a book series for the youth—issued to develop their awareness about the economy and teach them the importance of saving at banks.

The initiatives also aim to raise the awareness of electronic payments and limit cash transactions.

The bank noted that these booklets will be distributed among students at schools nationwide, especially in Upper Egypt. The series will also be available electronically to reach a larger audience.

It added that the protocol also includes organizing a number of specialised programmes that contain means of motivation, including special competitions for this purpose and honouring the winners, so as to prepare a generation that knows how to invest and deal with the banking sector.
