Two militants were killed in a military raid in North Sinai on Sunday, according to a statement by Egypt’s military spokesperson.
The statement said that the forces found 2 guns, 10 gun chambers, ammunition, 2 bombs, a wireless device, and an explosives belt in possession of the two militants.
Meanwhile, the security directorate in North Sinai announced the arrest of 51 alleged criminals wanted in several civil crimes.
The Egyptian military and police forces have been battling in North Sinai for nearly four years against militants calling themselves “Sinai Province”, who are affiliated with the so-called Islamic State.
