Minister of Industry and Trade Tarek Kabil said that Polish company URSUS is currently considering the establishment of a new project in cooperation with one of the Egyptian companies for the production of agricultural tractors in the Egyptian market with an initial capital of $50m to $100m.

The company is studying a number of industrial areas to locate the project and to start construction during the near future, according to Kabil.

He noted that the products of the new project will have the mark “Made in Egypt” and will contribute significantly to deepen the national industry of agricultural tractors.

He pointed out that the company will work on the gradual settlement of the tractor industry in the Egyptian market.

Marek Włodarczyk, the CEO of Ursus, said that the company is committed to the new project in Egypt to transfer advanced technologies to the Egyptian industry and provide training programmes for project workers in addition to after-sales service and spare parts.
Ursus is a Polish producer of agricultural machinery with its headquarters in Lublin, Poland, and it has three similar projects in Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Zambia.
