Smart transportation companies are following their costumers during their summer vacation, where a large number of Cairo and other governerate residents travel to the coastal cities, especially the North Coast, where many Egyptians and foreigners flock annually to enjoy their summer holidays.

Smart transportation has moved their services to the North Coast to satisfy their customers. The two main companies in the sector are Uber and Careem who compete to improve their competitive advantages.

BUSEET, a company specialised in smart mass transit, has provided its services to its customers for transportation between Cairo and the North Coast at good prices for the quality of service.

BUSEET provides convenient and air-conditioned transportation equipped with Wi-Fi and some cars are equipped with a small library in addition to an empty seat beside the passengers so that they feel comfortable during the trip.

The company offers four lines between Cairo and each of the following: Marina, Kilo 75 at the North Coast, North Coast, Sidi Abdel Rahman.

The idea of BUSEET involves renting air-conditioned buses from tourism companies, especially that the latter have been suffering from a recession as a result of the decline in tourism in Egypt. These buses operate on the specified route and time. The seats are reserved in advance through the company’s website; in addition, there is an alert message sent to clients before the arrival of the bus to the station in order not to waste their time.

Uber is one of the most prominent smart transportation providers in the world, and it competes to offer different services to its clients in the North Coast.

In cooperation with Nacita Auto Care, Uber offers UberRESCUE for rescue services in the North Coast during the summer, starting from 26 June, where Uber customers can obtain fast support from car maintenance services and safety problems on the road.

UberRESCUE allows customers to request help through the application. The rescue offered includes supplying tyres with air, starting cars or towing them, or even emergencies where a car driver needs to change spare parts.

Regarding the pricing, Uber charges its customers differently in the North Coast compared to Cairo. The fare starts at EGP 6, and the price of a minute is 55 piastres. Each kilometre costs 190 piastres, whereas the minimum fare of a single trip is EGP 20. The cancellation fee is EGP 15. Uber provides places to stay for its drivers if they live outside Cairo.

Careem has also introduced new services, including tuk-tuks and golf cars in some tourist villages, in addition to scooter services in Alexandria.

Careem also provides its services in the North Coast starting from the first resort in Sidi Krir until the last one, Telal.
