Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr met with Khuloud Al Omian, editor in chief of Forbes Middle East and chief executive officer of Dar Al-Arabi Publishing House, and with the representatives of Forbes Media Group in Cairo, Saad Zaghloul and research director Ahmed Mabrouk.
Nasr discussed the sponsorship of the Ministry of Investment for the Forbes Middle East Conference and Celebration of Egypt 100, during which the top 50 Egyptian companies will be honoured, along with the 25 strongest Egyptian startups and the 25 most powerful women.
In this context, Nasr expressed her happiness with the presence of the Forbes Middle East Foundation in Egypt and the sponsorship of the Forbes event in October, adding that it strongly supports the role of women in society and the economy.
Additionally, she stressed on the importance of encouraging entrepreneurs in all of Egypt’s governorates, announcing an initiative to support them along with a set of incentives in the Investment Law and the initiative of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) to provide financing with soft interests.
Meanwhile, Al Omian said, “we have seen that the time is right for us to be present in the Egyptian market for the positive developments in the economy and investments, through our keen follow-up of the achievements made so far in Egypt.”
She added that the ceremony will see a keynote speech by the Minister of Investment on the achievements made in Egypt, in addition to the presence of representatives of the Egyptian government and men and women of the business community.
