Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr and the chairperson of the Suez Canal Authority and the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), General Mohab Mamish, agreed to undertake a tour to Singapore and Vietnam to promote the region’s economic projects in August.

Mamish presented the investment plan of Dubai Ports World (DP World) to Nasr on Monday in order to develop its investment in the SCZone through the establishment of integrated areas covering all services and residential and recreational areas.

In addition to that, the two sides discussed arrangements for a joint tour involving Vietnam and Singapore in August to attract investors.

Nevertheless, Nasr stressed that the new investment law includes a number of incentives and guarantees for investors wishing to invest in the SCZone.

Moreover, she pointed out that the investment map will include all investment opportunities in this region to attract many investors to set up a number of projects that provide employment opportunities for young people.

The port development in the SCZone and the upgrading of the services provided by the Suez Canal are among the effective steps necessary to stimulate investors and attract more investments to the region, according to Nasr.

Meanwhile, Mamish stated that the achievement of comprehensive development requires the provision of an investment climate supported by a legislative structure that ensures the interests of the state and is in the interest of the investor.

He also explained that the development of Sinai is the best way to maintain the security and stability of this precious spot of the homeland.

Mamish reviewed the developments of the projects and investment opportunities available and ways to overcome obstacles for investors.
