Telecommunications and information technology companies have dominated the ranks of the largest companies in terms of brand value, reflecting the importance of the telecommunications and IT sector in the global economy.
Emirates Telecom Group was ranked as the largest financial portfolio amongst telecommunication companies in the Middle East. The report did not include Egyptian companies, except for Telecom Egypt (TE), which ranked 170th in terms of the brand value in the list of the highest 500 telecom brands.
American AT&T was classified as the highest brand in terms of the financial value of the company. Huawei came first in the index of infrastructure companies, outperforming several major companies, such as Cisco, Ericsson, and Nokia.
